Welcome to my website!
Set to Music
is my first book – a collection of seven short stories and the fruit of
many encounters with people and places that have profoundly affected
me, all marinated in a good dose of imagination, fantasy, humour and
reflection. I wrote these stories to connect, entertain and challenge,
and by all accounts from readers, it seems they are doing just that.
I’m
a fiction writer with a past career in journalism. Over the years I’ve
written a lot of children’s stories for my grand kids; now I’m writing
them for their kids. I also create cartoons, on request, for autistic
children under the signature, Story Solutions by Granny Frannie…not necessarily to solve, but to help a child comprehend, accept, and find their way through situations.
I am
the wife of a man who keeps me laughing, the mother of three, and a
grandmother in my late seventies. I am onto my first novel, which will
give re-entrance to one of the characters in the lead story of Set to Music.
I won’t tell you what it’s about; it will spoil the surprise. I’ll just
say that, through music and the arts, for all nations of this world, is
where peace might be found.
I
am passionate about storytelling, cooking, painting, conversation and
surprises. I love my thesaurus and my trampoline, in that order. I love
people best. I hope to keep you current on my website where I
might share my experiences, confide a secret or even share a recipe with
you!
